PHILADELPHIA, PA – EHS Technologies Corporation (EHS) was recently notified that it was awarded two new contracts from the US Navy worth approximately $37 million. The first contract is from a new customer for EHS, the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock Division in Bethesda, MD. The contract is worth approximately $8 million and requires EHS to provide cybersecurity services to the US Navy. The second contract which was awarded on 9/30/16 is from the NSWC Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (IHEODTD) in Indian Head, Maryland. That contract is worth approximately $29 million and requires EHS to provide a wide range of engineering and logistics services in support of “energetics” which are either propellants or explosives used across all platforms in the Navy’s arsenal (i.e. aircraft, ships and submarines). “These contracts are key wins for EHS because in the Bethesda case, we now have a new customer that we can support with our expanding cybersecurity practice” commented EHS President Bill Eckerle. Mr. Eckerle also stated that “The contract at NSWC IHEODTD is in part a follow-on to two previous contracts that we had with that Naval activity and will allow us to continue supporting the warfighter with the weapons and energetic propulsion systems that are needed to deliver the weapons to their targets”.
